In 2009 the Knowledge4Innovation (K4I) Forum organised the 1st European Innovation Summit in the European Parliament in Brussels at the start of the 7thParliamentary Term in the presence of then Commission President Manuel Barroso. Since then, the K4I Forum is organising a special Welcome Reception for newly elected MEPs at the start of every new parliamentary mandate. As this was the case 5 years ago, the Chairmanship of the K4I Forum will be handed over… this time from Ms Maria da Graça Carvalho, since April Minister for Environment and Energy in the Portuguese government to Ms Adina-Ioana Vălean until recently European Commissioner for Transport.
